The Shawn Carter Foundation, founded by Gloria Carter and her son Jay-Z are going on its 20th year of helping to send students to college. The foundation was set up to help young people with lower GPAs who need financial assistance. Gloria says, “We can help those kids who can’t get any help.” According to their site, the foundation has raised over $4 million for those in need.
