Stacey Abrams has launched a campaign to run for Georgia governor next year. On Wednesday (Dec. 1), Abrams announced her campaign with a video that highlighted the work she’s done in the state since she was defeated in her 2018 run against Republican Gov. Brian Kemp. “I’m running for Governor because opportunity in our state shouldn’t be determined by your ZIP code, background or access to power,” she captioned the video, which was shared to her official Instagram account.
