Congratulations are in order for H.E.R. She leads the 2021 Soul Train Award nominations with eight, including Song, Album, and Video of the Year. Jasmine Sullivan and Chris Brown followed with six nods each. Other multiple nominees include Wizkid and Tems with five nods each, Blxst with four, and Silk Sonic, Doja Cat, and Yung Bleu with three each. The kudofest that celebrates the best in soul and R&B music is special for a couple of reasons. For one, it will commemorate the 50th anniversary of “Soul Train.” In addition, it’ll be held at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, marking its first time in New York City. Maxwell will receive the Legend Award, while Ashanti will be the Lady of Soul honoree. the 2021 Soul Train Awards – which will be taped on November 20th – will be hosted by Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold for the fourth consecutive year. It’ll air on BET and BET Her on November 28th.
