Cinco De Mayo is here and the Arizona Diamondbacks are celebrating in a huge way with new food options and a big fiesta just outside the park!

The D-backs will celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Chase Field this Saturday with a D-backs Fiesta, presented by Fry’s Food Stores, starting at 2 p.m. and a D-backs Sugar Skull T-shirt giveaway, courtesy of State Forty Eight for 20,000 fans. The D-backs will host the Houston Astros at 5:10 p.m. and the team will wear Los D-backs jerseys.
The Cinco de Mayo D-backs Fiesta will being at 2 p.m. and will be set up at 4th Street and Jackson with food trucks, D-backs inflatables, live music from JJ’s Band, a beer garden, samples and giveaways from Estrella Jalisco and more. During the Fiesta, fans can taste salsa from the Top 8 competitors of My Nana's Salsa Challenge, benefiting Arizona Hemophilia Association. The winning Salsa maker will be awarded with a personalized jersey and D-backs Suite, courtesy of the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and will be judged by a D-backs panel that includes J.J. Putz. There will be an exclusive VIP area within the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta that includes food & beverage for winners.
Fans can also enjoy food items exclusive to Cinco de Mayo and will only be available on Saturday inside Chase Field:
- Bacon Jalapeno Popper Dog - Bacon wrapped hot dog, roasted jalapeno cream cheese, pico de gallo, crispy jalapenos … will be available at the section 118 Red Hot Grill
- Barbacoa Tots - Crispy tots with Monterrey Jack cheese sauce, shredded Mexican beef pot roast, avocado crema, Pico de Gallo … will be available at Taste of Chase at section 130
- Churro Nachos - Crispy flour tortillas tossed in cinnamon and sugar with vanilla frozen yogurt, caramel and chocolate sauce … will be available at Sweet Treat portables at sections 106 and 309
- Prickly Pear Margarita- Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, prickly pear syrup, sugar & salt-rimmed glass … will be available at all full bar locations
Sol La Terraza will be open in the Upper Right Field concourse and features a Latin vibe, specialized décor, Latin music, La Carreta de Lily and specialty food items at SOL La Terraza Restaurante Mexicano. This Saturday fans can enjoy Folklorico dancers, face painters and piñatas at SOL La Terraza as well as samples from SOL.
